Yay, I finished the marines for the Doom boardgame before the LAN party tomorrow!
The Cyberdemons and the Spider Queens didn’t make it, but rushing them (or the marines) would be a pity, I’ll rather paint them well with ample time after the weekend.
Without further ado, here’s the whole bunch of the marines. I took Space Marine Scout miniatures from Warhammer 40k for them, as they just have waay more detail than the ones that came with the game itself.
Doom Marines
All the details did take their toll, time-wise, I spent close to 20 hours on them. But considering they’re the good guys and the only minis the marine players will ever control, they better look good.
I made individual pictures of the three strike teams (red, green, blue), have a look at them here:

Note how they’re quite a bit cleaner (looks-wise) than the other minis – I didn’t drybrush a bit here. That and the strong color palette emphasizes a bit that they’re the good guys, I hope.

I just wanna ask when will you put the rest of doom figures painted online (like: Vagary, Cyberdemon). I’m asking because I really liked your style and I’m really intrested in how you paint the final figures “bosses”.

Moin, wie sieht es mit den anderen Figuren aus? Mich würde deine Cyberdemon Version interessieren. Und noch eine Frage. Da das Material der Figuren ja so weich ist, welche Erfahrung hast du nach 2 Jahren mit abplatzender Farbe, wenn die Minis gedehnt werden?

Sorry dass ich so lange nicht geantwortet habe. Die meisten Figuren siehst Du in diesem Blog, diejenigen die Du nicht siehst (Cyberdemons, Vagaries) habe ich damals nicht mehr angemalt und bin später nie mehr dazu gekommen
Die Farbe ist nie abgeplatzt oder so. Ich hatte die Minis aber mal zu lange an der Sonne, da hat sich die Lackschicht aufgeweicht, die ist seither klebrig und hat auch schon Farbe abgerissen, als ich die Minis auseinandergenommen habe
Ist mir aber mit anderen Minis von FFG (die von Drakon hab ich auch angemalt, und die von Chaos in the Old World) nicht passiert, ich glaube das war wirklich nur wegen der Hitze
