With this blog currently being more a painting journal than anything else, I can’t deny you these beauties: Three Cacodemons, completed about 30 minutes ago.

I went with the original Doom style, red and green eyes, instead of opting for the grey design they had in Doom 3. I did that mostly because I believe that when you paint something, it should stand out and be really visible – just painting grey in grey for hours on end doesn’t make much sense if all the effort isn’t visible afterwards…

A nice side effect is that I have a new avatar for forums and whatnot now

Update 2008-12-09 17:35: Credit where credit is due, I just realized how similar my cacodemons look to these here. I did look at those two pictures before, so I definitely was influenced by them, although I didn’t use them as reference during the actual painting.
